What to expect of the job?
We are looking for a QA Architect to help us continuously improve the quality, reliability, and scalability of the Synaps platform. You will define test strategies, improve automation, and validate releases together with software developers, DevOps engineers, product owners, and support engineers. The role covers frontend, backend, infrastructure, CI/CD, and industrial system integrations.
What you will do
- Quality Architecture & Testing Strategy
You will translate customer feedback, support insights, in-field observations, and production learnings into test scenarios for unit, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.- Introduce risk-based testing practices that focus effort where it matters most.
- Base test scenarios on recurring customer feedback, support insights, and lessons learned from real installations.
- Help define practical quality gates for releases without slowing down delivery unnecessarily.
- Test Automation
You will design and maintain automated tests for C#/.NET services, Angular applications, REST APIs, microservices, and database integrations.- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines so regressions are detected early.
- Promote maintainable test automation that developers can understand, trust, and extend.
- Backend & Platform Validation
You will validate business logic, backend workflows, REST APIs, distributed services, SQL databases, Kubernetes-hosted applications, and industrial machine integrations.- Help safeguard data integrity, performance, and system reliability.
- Translate technical risks into clear validation scenarios.
- Mentoring & Continuous Improvement
You will help developers and quality engineers apply testing, diagnostics, observability, and regression-prevention practices in daily development work.- Coach developers to prevent regressions in their own code.
- Encourage practical testing habits that fit naturally into development work.
Who are we looking for?
- Experience
We are looking for software development experience in frontend, backend, or full-stack environments, with a focus on automated testing and platform quality.- Experience designing or implementing automated testing solutions.
- Willingness to explore and broaden the testing framework over time.
Willingness to travel internationally to visit customer sites, gather in-field feedback, and build hands-on experience with real production environments.
- Technical Skills
Frontend and backend experience are equally valuable; the key requirement is understanding how application architecture affects testability, reliability, maintainability, and regression risk. Below an overview of the expected skills, a perfect match is not required, notion of is.- Backend Skills
Focus on validating platform logic, service behavior, APIs, data consistency, and reliability across distributed backend components.- Experience with Angular, C#, .NET, REST APIs, PostgreSQL, Python and service-oriented architectures.
- Ability to validate usability, correctness, performance, data consistency, and integration behavior.
- Frontend Skills
Focus on validating user-facing workflows, UI behavior, automated regression coverage, and the interaction between the frontend and underlying APIs.- Experience with frontend testing tools such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium is valuable.
- Ability to define valuable UI, API, integration, and backend automation coverage.
- Devops Skills
Focus on integrating automated quality checks into CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments, and cloud-native environments where tests run reliably before release.- Experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of Kubernetes and containerized applications.
