What to expect of the job?

  • At Soleras Precision, the role of (Junior) Business Development Manager is designed as a high-impact position with full business exposure and clear growth potential toward General Management. You will be entrusted with significant responsibility from day one, acting as a key driver in the company’s continued expansion and professionalization.
  • This role combines strategic leadership, operational management, and strong commercial ownership. You will carry end responsibility for the daily management of the company, the implementation of strategy, and the overall operational and financial performance (P&L).
  • A strong emphasis lies on external sales and market development. You will actively represent the organization in the market, build long-term customer relationships, and identify new business opportunities across Benelux, France, and Germany. Regular travel is therefore an essential part of the role.
  • In addition, you will help structure and scale the organization, implement processes, and ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.

What will you do?

In this role, you will operate across multiple domains and take ownership of key business activities:

  • Strategy & Business Operations
    • Develop and execute the company’s strategy to achieve long-term objectives
    • Translate strategy into actionable plans and ensure alignment across departments
    • Identify growth opportunities and drive business expansion initiatives
  • Commercial Leadership (Primary Focus)
    • Drive external sales activities with a strong hunter mentality
    • Build and expand the customer portfolio in machine building and related industries
    • Strengthen market positioning and brand visibility
    • Lead negotiations and manage key accounts
    • Travel actively within Benelux, France, and Germany
  • Operational Management
    • Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and delivery performance
    • Implement and optimize processes and organizational structures
    • Ensure smooth collaboration between departments
  • Financial Management
    • Manage budgets, cost control, and profitability
    • Take ownership of the P&L
    • Perform and validate cost calculations and pricing strategies
  • People Management (HR)
    • Recruit, develop, and lead teams
    • Create a performance-driven culture
    • Motivate and coach employees toward achieving business goals
  • Legal & Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements
    • Act as a responsible and reliable company representative
  • Representation
    • Act as the face of the organization internally and externally
    • Represent Soleras Precision with customers, partners, and stakeholders

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a driven and entrepreneurial professional with a strong commercial mindset and leadership potential:

  • Around 7 years of relevant experience, ideally in a machine building or industrial environment
  • Proven track record in a senior sales or business development role
  • Strong sales-driven mindset with a true hunter profile
  • Experience with cost calculations, pricing, and financial follow-up
  • Demonstrated ability to build structures and scale organizations
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage cross-functional teams
  • Willingness to travel frequently within Benelux, France, and Germany
  • Fluent in Dutch and English. Knowledge of German and/or French is a plus.
  • Entrepreneurial, hands-on, and results-oriented
  • Strategic thinker with strong execution capabilities
  • Excellent communicator and relationship builder
  • Resilient, proactive, and able to operate in a dynamic environment
