Soleras Advanced Coatings Names Jeffrey Edel as CEO

October 11, 2013 – Soleras Advanced Coatings announced today that Jeffrey Edel has joined the company as Chief Executive Officer and will be appointed to the Board of Directors.

Mr. Edel brings to Soleras nearly 30 years of experience leading and growing businesses in the specialty materials markets. Since 2006, he has served as a senior executive at Ferro Corporation, having headed both the Advanced Materials and Electronic Materials divisions. Prior to his tenure at Ferro, he was the leader of strategy and business development in Honeywell’s Specialty Materials and Electronic Materials divisions.

“Jeff is uniquely qualified to lead the continued growth and development of Soleras as a technology leader for providing advanced thin coating solutions,” said Matthew Neville, Soleras’ Chairman. “In all positions in his career, Mr. Edel has managed R&D activities, operations, marketing and sales of technology-based performance materials and selling products into a variety of end markets. We look forward to leveraging that experience at Soleras.”

Maurice Murphy, current CEO, will be leaving the company to pursue other professional opportunities and has agreed to work with Mr. Edel and the Board of Directors through a transition period.
