ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Mechanical System
The system is designed and built with standard hardware. All materials in contact with process chemicals or vapors are either stainless steel or polypropylene. The lifting mechanism for the fixture rack is a dampened pneumatic cylinder. Pumps, valves, and pneumatics are easily accessible through side panels.

Electrical System
Most devices are 24VDC. Electrical distribution and controls are accessible behind a clear side panel. All signals connect to a main terminal strip in the electrical area. This eases troubleshooting. The interior of the system is lighted by twin florescent tubes located behind a sealed enclosure.

Safety Features
Multiple hardware and software safety features are built into the system to eliminate the risk of harm to operators. When a fault is detected by the system controller, the system will halt and go into standby-mode. This allows the operator to correct the problem and resume the cleaning process. An emergency stop button is located on the control panel to shut down all power and close all valves in the system instantly. In the event of a power or air failure, the parts are automatically lifted out of the process tank. This halts chemical reaction caused by cleaning. Valves, tanks, and pumps all have manual shutoff valves to allow isolation from the system for maintenance. In the event of a leak, the machine will hold all fluid in the bottom of the machine where it is captured in the plenum.

System Description

The system is constructed of polypropylene on a painted steel frame and measures approximately 6' X 7'-6" X 6'-4". Parts are loaded and unloaded from the front of the system. Maintenance access is from the front and both sides. All facilities connect from the side, except exhaust and electricity, which connect from the top. A hand sprayer is provided near the process tank to manually rinse the parts and/or system when needed. The process tank is double walled. The internal chemical holding tanks are single walled and connected to external tanks or drums for easy refilling. As an additional safety measure, the overall body of the system is a tank itself, and can contain any accidental spills. External holding tanks are replenished by the facility.
